Grupo de apoyo en Queens. Temas de auto ayuda, relaciones saludables, auto estima, testimonios y desarrollo personal. Este grupo se dirige el segundo Lunes de el mes en la localización de Make the Road New York: 92-10 Roosevelt Ave, Jackson Heights, NY.
Talleres
Dedicados a los asuntos políticos y sociales que afectan nuestra comunidad como igualdad de matrimonio y leyes, violencia domestica, desarrollo financiero, salud de mujer, salud mental, auto estima, liderazgo y desarrollo personal. Las fechas se anuncian en el calendario.
Conferencias
Organizados como retiros y dedicados a la alianza y educación de nuestra comunidad.
Actividades Recreativas y Deportivas
Las Buenas Amigas tradicionalmente organiza un equipo de soccer/futbolito que se lleva acabo cada viernes. También organizamos actividades de recreación y deporte una vez a el mes en los meses de primavera y verano.
Charla Mamá a Mamá
Iniciativa para Mama Lesbianas para reunirse, hablar de temas que afectan nuestras familias LGBTQ y crianza de niños. También se organizan grupos de juegos y actividades de niños. Este grupo se organiza mensualmente. Las fechas se anuncian en el calendario.
Talleres de Arte y Cultura
Las Buenas Amigas y el Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance, en el interés de fomentar el arte y la cultura de la Lesbiana Latina en New York se propone realizar talleres dirigido a miembros de nuestra comunidad en el cual expresen sus ideas, sentimientos y emociones a traves de la escritura de prosas y poesias, discusiones literarias, teatro, artes visuales y videos culturales. Talks
Charla in Jackson Heights, this has been our monthly support group in Queens. This group was located for many years in Queens Pride House and it is now taking place in Make the Road New York. This group runs once a month.
Workshops
Traditionally made in the first Sunday of the month within the LGBT Center on 13th St., Manhattan. These workshops were dedicated to LGBT political issues such as marriage equality and laws protecting or discriminating against the community, domestic violence, women’s health, financial development, mental health issues, self-esteem, leadership and self-development.
Annual Retreat
Made every year with workshops facilitated all day on Saturday and Sunday morning.
Recreation
Sports and recreation events. Las Buenas Amigas has traditionally organized a soccer/futbol team, now actively participating in Jackson Heights. The futbol games take place every Friday and we try to include a Sports and Recreation activity once a month during the spring and summer months.
Talk Mother to Mother
This is a new initiative, which began this year for Lesbian mom’s to meet, discuss topics on LGBTQ families, child rearing and organizing child activities and playgroups. These support groups are facilitated once a month.
Art & Culture Workshops
Las Buenas Amigas and the Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance (BAAD!), in the interest of fostering the art and culture of Latina Lesbians in New York City, will organize workshops aimed to members of our community to express their ideas, emotions and feelings in the form of creative writing, poetry, literary discussions, theater, visual arts and cultural videos. The date of these workshops will be announced in Facebook.
